I have used all sized floppy's and tape drives, as well as punch tapes.

I learned email before email was a thing - IBM had their own internal email styled message system called NOSS. Six-character addresses and everyone was accessible if you knew their address. I also had to learn hexa-decimal to read flags on an automated conveyor system.

Tried to read the coding on phone cards back in the day to make an ever-lasting card.....but failed at that. It was easier to buy a ten-pound phone at the local electronics shop and a pair of crocodile clips for cheap phone calls home.... till you got a line that was already in use...
