Looks like me driving back from Virginia with a full quarter panel to Connecticut. Had roof racks and a 4x8 piece of plywood to hold panel.

Been there, done that. A broken alternator bolt that refused to come out, necessitated me to pull the top end of my 440 down, to swap heads side for side to give me a fresh tapped hole for a new bolt. Yeah, pretty well 3 days, plus cost of gaskets. Oh, also a one hour ride home on a flat bed.Yep! I’ve been there…torqueing a bolt and then all of a sudden it gets way to loose.

Oh man! That’s a bad day. I’ve had a few at work that made a quick swap into an all day ordeal with torches, drills, ez outs, and a good smattering of cursing.
