The Newfies made a dog calendar!

My daughter took this 8 years ago when Little Bear was the Momma and Diesel was a fuzzball. They each weigh about 160 pounds now. Little Bear, is still in charge. Just like tonight when I cut up some leftover Sirlion, Diesel knows Mamma gets the first bite. I'm sorry the resolution isn't better. Photographing black dogs is tough. This is a close-up.

Newfies! I had one as a Kid! Wonderful dog! Loved the outside, loved to play! Oh and frikin huge!

Never forget a cold Maine winter day. Brumas, the newfie was outside as usual. A friend came over wearing those mittens that had the string attached the went through your coat. He pounded on the door in a panic. He came in screaming Brumas ate my mittens! All he had left was the string, no mittens! As only my dad could do, he said come on in, relax give it some time, Brumas will give ‘em back to you shortly! We all howled!

Beautiful dogs Steve! Very well behaved dogs. At times lol
I've had two so far. Champ when I was a kid. Then along came Thunder. He was a rescue out of Maine. He was too big for a couple of his owners. 180 lbs big ole cuddly bundle of fun. Irish Spotted they call those markings. Miss that pup.
