Elvis once said “we can’t go on forever, with suspicions minds.”

My was like this one; left work, had a few "beverages" with co-workers, stopped at stop sign, chick bumped me, moved up, she hit me AGAIN: got out walked over to her, she was HIGHER THEN BEN FRANKLIN'S KITE!! Concerned about boom-boom, at 17, HELL YA!! Wouldn't know about proms, was working.

I won my 1st bracket race 1974 Sacramento Raceway Wednesday night
in an 18+ second, (like 18.80s IIRC) consistent as hell 6 rounds
I could literally leave when I saw the last yellow light 0.5 tenths sportsman tree,
& not ever redlight, cut decent lights too, like 3 seconds 60' times :poke:
in a bone stock (with the air-cleaner cover flipped, sounded cooler)
1971 Pinto
final round against a 10.50 second pro-bracket car
67-68 Camaro BBC tunnel-ram P/G full chassis, "fast car for the day"
he had to sit & wait 10+ seconds after I left,
he motored by me like 125 mph to my 66-68 mph
he broke out, but it didn't matter, 'I had already crossed the stripe'

It was my dad's Admiral Awnings/Add-On Home Improvements
'sales car', white 4 speed, blue interior & sport wheels with 13"x 70s
he was a Ford man,
had a 1971-72 f350 BB manual trans, Flatbed Dually
for the job sights too, I could bark second gear in that pig even

he found out I was running his Pinto by a neighbor
when he asked why the air-cleaner was flipped over

(I had a couple v8 Vegas, drivers & racecars in life too)

Hell of a lot better than a Vega...
I had several V8 versions that were all pretty damn fun
I'd have loved one of the Baldwin Motion 454 71 Vega supercars

Vega to the left was mine, square tube chassis 454 BBC LS7/PG 8.90 S/C
&/or 9.90 S/G car with a alum. head Brodix 377cid SBC/PG
I had earlier sold it to a buddy, Larry V.
he was running it in S/G with a BBC, he painted it too, it was blue org.
I couldn't find the photo of it when I ran it
(& the altered of course is mine too)

yeah Vega they were crap from the factory
the Pinto wasn't much better, but had a decent engine

made great racecars & street beasts, when done correctly

A V8 Vegas isn't really a Vega at all... They tossed out the turd under the hood & made a completely different car... Well, other than that other thing Vegas are known for..... "On a quiet night you can hear the Vegas rust"

And a Baldwin Motion Vega? Seriously Bad ***!...

I had that exact gas powered Cox model when I was a kid. It would travel along a line and pop a chute at the end. Was very cool. Wish I still had it.
