Yes, the TKX. I saw what Kern Dog had to remove in his tunnel & yes, it seems fairly minor. That said, there's a tick coating in the tunnel and I might as well spend the additional half hour to get it out.
It looks a bit scary if you've never done metal replacement before.

If it's not too late, you should weigh that!Took me more that a few hours. Using a propane torch, couple of different putty scrapers, wire brush and some red scotch pads plus the kitchen spoon. But by the time I was done I had filled a five gallon bucket full.

@Kern Dog ?Mark if you get a chance I need a pic of the bolt for this. Mine snapped and from what I can tell it has like a 1/2 inch spacer/nut in between the two pieces. Thanks Dave

I would think that the reissued Hurst Pistol Grip shifter handle would bolt right up to that as they use the two bolt system instead of the OEM clip in type. I don't know if the tall non console ones are still available, but I just bought an E body one for my modem Challenger from Summit Racing for $329..00. If the 70 B body non console one is no longer available, my friend has a new one still in the box, that I don't think he is going to use.Who sells a pistol grip shifter (non-console) to fit that bolt pattern?
I hope you took pictures!while I still remember how it all goes together.
I used one in more than one hot, humid, often cramped steel enclosed areas of commercial boats when I was a deckhand, back in the 70s and 80s.Nobody here has used the needle scaler???
the bolt that gos there. I believe it has a spacer on it. Mine broke and I can not find it.So what angle are you needing??
There are several companies that make "adapters" that move the shifter in one direction or another to include SST.My kit came from Silver Sport. I don’t know if they offer any optional shift levers.
Here you go Dave. No spacer, just the bolts. Same kind at each end. 10-4the bolt that gos there. I believe it has a spacer on it. Mine broke and I can not find it.
Car had a repaint so maybe the painter lost the bolts. My bracket on both ends had a spacer in between the 2 pieces of metal that the hood seal screws to. I will look tomorrow for the snapped bolts and post a pic. What makes you think there was a spacer? All the correct bracing/ brackets there?
