The Roach

I'm not sure either. The 17" wheels show more of the drums than 14" or 15" would. On an upcoming sunny day, I'll roll it outside in the sun soon and step back for a look. Fortunatey, it's an easy fix if I decide to repaint them.
Yeah, make them black. The red pops out as much as those cars that haven't painted the rad supports black.

Blast them clean and coat them with Boeshield T9

Black drums will go un-noticed..... better than red IMHO. The red sticks out too much and could harm the overall finish.

If the car was 4 wheel drums, the red paint would be cool IF it actually lasted more than 3 miles.
Confession:
The main reason that I converted to rear discs was for the sake of appearance.

Sorry not digging the red drums, just doesn't work with purple paint.
That’s my favorite part of the car otherwise it’s like all the other fake boob blondes , it gives it a mix of old and new especially with the wheels keep it be bold man….

Was going to suggest make a 3/32" polished stainless disc that just fits inside wheel. It would be cut like a wheel spacer. Only you have disc brakes in front, but work. Definitely make rear wheels stand out.
