I based the handle positions where it is on one of my survivor 68s. I’ll check out the other one tomorrow to see where they are clocked.

I checked out the front door handles on the other survivor and they are also clocked in the same position. Both cars have had the rear seats out to get at the broadcast sheets and that entails taking off the armrests and window cranks, so I don't know what the original positions are supposed to be on those.

In the grand scheme of things, who's to know what's correct? Put the handles where you want.

I was curious so I peeked at my copy of "Master Restoration and Judging Reference Manual 68-70 Dodge B Bodies" Vol 3.1 - Version 24 by David Wise, and I couldn't find anything in Section 4 (Interior Review) about specific clock position.

I'd agree - put the handles where they don't annoy you when they're closed or all the way open (maybe there's a clocking that keeps them out of the way for both). They can be easily moved, so the important part is getting them on the car and enjoying it.

I wonder if the assembly line guys even had a standard for how the window cranks were to be positioned or if they just slapped them on however they wanted like other details with these cars.

I grew up across from a chrysler plant... the parking lot was fights and empty 40s everywhere and the smell of weed.... the standard was "Did it stay on?"

I'm not that far away from wiring & if all goes well, I would think that I'll be firing it up (or attempting to fire it up) some time in February. Still waiting on my driveshaft to be made.
