The Roach

460 clams with the U joints. I supplied the yoke.

I never had one made before, so I don’t know if it’s a good price or not. It was made fairly local, so no shipping costs.
I've had a few custom made and you get what you pay for. Looks good and I'm sure it's been made right. Balancing is not necessary if you have one cut and they know what they're doing. Building new is what I used too do.

Mounted the battery box today. Waiting on a friend to make up a bracket to mount the battery shutoff switch onto. Once I get that, I can complete the positive cable wiring.

The last DS I had shortened was one I did myself for the 66 Belvedere /6 car. It worked fairly well but had some vibration above 4k rpm. It wasn't bad at all but didn't go above 4k all that much unless it was at the drag strip. Had to shorten it once the 8 3/4 went in and the shaft was in the car when I went 7 rounds at the track :D The /6 was only good for about 4600 anyways lol
I would leave the exhaust as is. No need to complicate things with restrictive mufflers.
Gotta run the pipes out to the rear....axe me how I know! At least for a daily driver anyways lol

Looks great and I've made a few bracket before. I always moved my batteries to the back, a room thing and on one, I just mounted the shut off directly on the box.

I don't have a picture of the one I mounted the kill switch to the box along with a positive and negative terminal, just in case. Less exposed parts
