I’ve got stock street Hemi springs and I’d like it to be down about 1” - 1 1/2”.

could always use lowering blocks,
or re-arch the springs if it doesn't settle some

I'm going to put in an aftermarket stereo system in the car & it's been decades since I shopped for one. Pioneer & Alpine were top names for radios & Jensen triaxials were the speakers to get. Car radio stores where you could test them out seem to be a thing of the past so today, what's a decent easy-to-use radio, 6X9 speakers and amp to go with these days?

been 20 years since mine was done Dec 2005
it's a Pioneer removeable head unit, cd/cassette AM/FM
(the dash has already been cut, by the guy I got it from)
have no idea now what exact model,
it was about $200 back then on sale, at Best Buy, IIRC
2 6x9"s (don't remember, but a 'name brand', maybe Jensens) in back package tray
another $100s
1 in center of dash, (from Radio Shack, that fit perfect) org spot, $25
I didn't want to cut into the doors,
it's a 40watt per channel/speaker, it'll blow you out of the car
'on like 6 of 20 volume settings' nice crisp sound, digital display...

I really listen to FM mostly, a few CDs, has a Creedence CD in it now...

can't see it very well, bends in pretty good, doesn't look out of place
no more than a 'Tuff wheel' or the ProCar Elite seats on/in a 68 Plymouth

You could also pick up a pair of Firm Feel's leaf spring hangers. They are set up with holes for stock ride height or 1.5" dropped ride height. I used them to drop the rear of my Coronet. Cheers!

Yeah, I agree the CAA controls aren't the most intuitive I have ever used. But the system tells you pretty quick once it's on!

yeah they are nice & low too, I have a tall torso for 6'2"
so I chose them because of the height & liked the style, adjt. & separate headrests
so it doesn't look as much out of place

bolt in seat brackets, seat have slider on then already
I had to drill a couple 2 each seat for the inner/center holes, in the floor
68 RRs never had buckets

click on any of the photos, if interested, it has all the #s

it was like $750 total delivered in like 2012, more now

They certainly do. I had them in Uncle Bill's Cuda.

I too have the Classic Auto Air with those same controls. Do you find the temp and fan controls to be weird? The graphic on the panel doesn't seem to clearly show what the direction of the sliders does. The red/white/blue sucks. As I wait for the air to get to the temperature I want, I don't know if all the way forward is heat or A/C. It is a crap design.

I liked the look of the Vintage controls but like the CAA versions, they are not immediately intuitive as to what they do. It was an opportunity to do a clean sheet design and both companies dropped the ball. Late model stuff with knobs or even 80s stuff with sliders had a blue on one side and red on the other. Just looking at it indicated a temperature to expect when the controls were moved that direction. Sure, you can move it and wait to feel for the air but.....
They both looked as if they tried to implement a new control panel with some resemblance to classic styling. Knobs are much better since a clockwise turn always means an increase in volume, fan speed, temperature, etc. Unfortunately, knobs for HVAC controls don't look like an original panel and may have been hard to implement in the space that the originals were positioned.
