The Roach

I hauled casting compound to a foundry in that town for a couple months after I lost my corporate gig and went back on the truck.
Went back there in 69 in the middle of August and everyone was trying to survive the heat and sweating badly and the temp was refreshing to me. They couldn't understand lol....haven't been back since.

Off to the exhaust shop.

The original horns which I blasted and painted turned out to be junk, so I got a set of repro OEM horns, which are very nice. In the picture below, the original junk horns are on top and the repros are on the bottom. They were pricey, but farting around with finding another working pair 55+ year old ones just isn't worth it. Got them bolted in and they work fine.

Were the old ones working before you blasted them?

But those WW.
Many upscale Mopars wore them back in the day, including my GTX. I love originality, but that was the one feature of my car I couldn't bring myself to keep. In 1970, the original owner apparently felt the same. The GTX he ordered that year had Goodyear Polyglas white letters, mounted on 15x7 rallye wheels. I'll be curious to see if RC stays with the white lines or changes later.

you drive it at all yet or just enough to move it around?

Just moved it around so far.

The top set in the picture I posted.

Sure hope not, those WW's look like hell!

I would have loved to have gotten white letter tires, but no one makes them in the size I got, so I got these whitewalls. If after a while I don’t b like them, I’ll have them remounted as black walls.

W/W with 60's style mags. no way. MO as always it's RC's car.

Tires and wheels are always a hot topic for opinions. I've gotten equal amounts of compliments and complaints about my own choices.
A man chooses to go stock, guys may say they look too skinny. If you go with an 18" or bigger setup, the purists think you should have stayed with a 15" wheel.
If we all built our cars to please others, none of us would be happy.
