The roof was then dollied out as someone apparently thought it was a trampoline at one time. The car was then rolled back outside one last time to blast. Then brought in and epoxy primed. Then my son Brock installed the heat barrier sound deadener in the interior...………………. oh I had to remove all the roof reinforcement pieces to straighten them and the roof,then epoxied them, used 3M NVH foam between them and the roof,then spot welded them back in

I did some minor bodywork in the trunk and underhood area,then they were sealed and painted with a single stage F6. We coated the trunk area with an F6 tinted bedliner if you are wondering why it looks like orange peel

So we sanded the underside of the car,sprayed a couple coats of epoxy on it,seam sealed it and Brock undercoated it...sorry about the funny colors coming up on the one pic,some weird camera thing I guess

At this time the car sat for awhile as Brock was busy with wedding planning and residing his house. so around the middle of July,my boss comes in and said instead of just weekends to finish up the car during the work week so it is ready in time for the wedding.That was a great gift from him and we couldn't be more thankful for that.

So picking back up on the car in mid July was nice but as you can see the car still on the rotisserie,needing EVERYTHING was going to be a big undertaking. Luckily my daughter comes home and works with me when she is not in college so that helped a lot. Oh and we had to keep Brock out of the shop and keep it a secret.

The pics will be fewer and far between because,well, I didn't have time or think about snapping pics. I started back up blasting and rebuilding the 8 3/4 sure grip with 3.55 gears and Dr Diff axles. Then epoxied and painted it. I used Eaton springs and the Pro Comp add a leaf. I was then able to install and get the car back on the ground

I then fit the doors,fenders and hood to the car and gapped it. I needed to cut and add to the doors to get the correct gaps but it was really minimal. It then got epoxy, a skim coat of mud, and the blocking started

After blocking was complete,I brought it back in the booth and shot epoxy on it followed by a couple coats of Slicksand.

The Slicksand was blocked with 80 grit,then I shot two more coats on and blocked it again with 180. Then I shot two coats of SPI turbo primer on it and set it out in the sun for a couple days.

Then I started blocking the car with 400 then 600. I then pulled the fenders and doors, bolted them on the painting trees and finished sanding jambs. I sealed the car with reduced white SPI epoxy and let it sit overnight. Then I shot Sikkens F6 base the next morning.

I got some SPI UV clear on the doors.
