It's gotta be Led Zeppelin. I have nothing against the Who and I like all their songs but Led Zeppelin has way more songs and talent throughout the years. Took their cues from the blues!

Who

Couldn’t resist

Both great bands

But Led Zeppelin hands down - Better musicians , a band that just kicked you in the *** when you heard their music

I agree there was some fantastic talent in Zeppelin. Jimmy Page said the stars aligned when he was putting the band together.

Bass......push

Drums......push

front man.......push

Jimmy Page over Peter Townsend

but I voted for The Who

Hard to beat the mighty Zeppelin.
They had a huge catalog of hits for a decade.
A sampling below all of these are pretty fabulous.

Now a similar sampling from The Who.
Some really good ones below but not as strong as the Zeppelin list (at least my take on it).
A couple of these below I would hit the skip button and try and find some Zeppelin.

Several here I've either never heard of or would hit the skip button.

a similar list from the Rolling Stones is probably even bigger....... would any one vote Stones over Zeppelin?

discuss....... :popcorn2:
Spirit

" Spirit also appeared with Led Zeppelin at two outdoor music festivals in July 1969. Jimmy Page's use of a theremin has been attributed to his seeing Randy California use one that he had mounted to his amplifier.[4] Guitar World magazine stated that "California's most enduring legacy may well be the fingerpicked acoustic theme of the song 'Taurus', which Jimmy Page lifted virtually note for note for the introduction to 'Stairway to Heaven'."[5] The Independent noted the similarity in 1997.[6] In 2014, Mark Andes and a trust acting on behalf of Randy California filed a copyright infringement suit against Led Zeppelin in an attempt to obtain a writing credit for "Stairway to Heaven".[7][8] Page denied copying "Taurus",[9] and the suit was unsuccessful.[10] The verdict was overturned on appeal in September 2018.[11] On March 9, 2020, the Ninth Circuit re-instated the original jury verdict.[12]" Wiki

I'm biased, I toured a few shows with Spirit.
