Just found this forum. I bought a new 69 GTX back in the day. Retired last year and bought myself another one - 40 years after the first one. The wife and I are having a ball with it. :grin:

Greetings from a fellow canuck in New Hampshire. Love your GTX's. Floor it, and your wife will probably end up in the back seat anyways. My wife loves my Satellite too. She used to race in Powder Puff races at New England Dragway, back when cars were hot and the girls were hotter.

I actually like your new one better than your old one. The high rise intake would be the first thing to go, or another hood, if it was mine. Not being able to close the hood with the air grabber would drive me nuts.

Pillar ; I'm seeing you all over this site. My '66 is also a 318 poly, with a Weiand intake, Holley 700, Flowmaster exhaust, 904 tranny. Goes like a Mopar should.

I bet those flowmasters make your 318 sound really nice eh? Oh do you have any kind of perfomance headers on it or did you leave em stock?

Haha the legendary torqueflight tranny, smoothest transition since 1956 to 91.... or was it 92?

Still the original manifolds, headers can be a real pain to fit. If I ever have the motor out, I'll try to find some headers for it, but with the wide poly heads, you're dealing with less room. I'm not sure when they dropped the torqueflite, but they were as good as anything out there. The flowmasters are awesome, especially in the shift to second.
