Hi guys,

Just found this forum. I bought a new 69 GTX back in the day. Retired last year and bought myself another one - 40 years after the first one. The wife and I are having a ball with it.

I look forward to participating on the B Body Mopar Forums. :wave3:

Nice ride! Growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional.

Welcome to FBBO Bernie! That is a great story and love the fact that you and your wife are enjoying it and also that it is bringing back fond memories.

Welcome. Not gonna ask why the Mrs. enjoys the GTX so much:blush:

I live by the rule of you are never to old to have a happy childhood.

Greetings from a fellow canuck in New Hampshire. Love your GTX's. Floor it, and your wife will probably end up in the back seat anyways. My wife loves my Satellite too. She used to race in Powder Puff races at New England Dragway, back when cars were hot and the girls were hotter.

good thing the gtx kept its looks. just kidding ya. nice ride, hope it makes ya feel 20 again. or as i sometimes say ,when you hit the key you giggle like a little school girl.

hi and welcome! nice looking car! got any more pics?

Pics of both cars here: Then and Now.

Don't think I'll be going to MoparFest this year.

Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe........:grin::grin::grin:

I actually like your new one better than your old one. The high rise intake would be the first thing to go, or another hood, if it was mine. Not being able to close the hood with the air grabber would drive me nuts.

Thanks:grin:

I actually lost a couple nights sleep afterf I found out that it was my original car. :banghead:

But ya gotta move on. Having a ball with this one.:th_krazy:

Hello there! I've got the precursor to your car *66 satellite* and that's a very nice car you got! 383 four on the floor?

Pillar ; I'm seeing you all over this site. My '66 is also a 318 poly, with a Weiand intake, Holley 700, Flowmaster exhaust, 904 tranny. Goes like a Mopar should.

Haha thanks, I like to browse around here when I'm online shopping for parts.

poly's are very nice *And after I had bought my car learned they were pretty rare, and add the fact that mines a numbers matching car*

I bet those flowmasters make your 318 sound really nice eh? Oh do you have any kind of perfomance headers on it or did you leave em stock?

Haha the legendary torqueflight tranny, smoothest transition since 1956 to 91.... or was it 92?

Still the original manifolds, headers can be a real pain to fit. If I ever have the motor out, I'll try to find some headers for it, but with the wide poly heads, you're dealing with less room. I'm not sure when they dropped the torqueflite, but they were as good as anything out there. The flowmasters are awesome, especially in the shift to second.
