I've always thought getm' into the hobby early, keepm' out of trouble, drugs, ect.

Ok so I'm meeting up with a friend. I'm driving my exploder (parts hauler/dog hauler/beater truck). My freinds kid is 4 years old. He walks up to my truck and points. He says to me, you have the wrong wheels on this truck... those are mazda wheels. What could I say??? 4 years old!!

That's impressive. There are some people who notice everything and that 4 year old is one of them. He'll have the whole world at his fingertips.

I have a similar one. A close friend of mine had a Tahoe with the drivers side inside door handle broken off. So every time he had to get out, he had to roll the power window down and reach outside, we've all been there before. Well he was in a parts store getting something when the cashier asked is there anything else his 4 year old daughter interrupted by pointing and saying Daddy, Daddy, there is the door handle you need. He kind of went yah, yah, OK honey thinking she saw a handle for something else. She was insistent and when he finally looked where she was pointing to there was not only a door handle, but a correct color drivers side Tahoe door handle. She knew exactly what she was looking at. Most adults wouldn't

That's a nice story ! Got the same vehicle I picked up on the cheap for the same exact purpose... but I got Ford wheels on it ! What's wrong with you, eh ? And yours looks too good... mine's a REAL beater ! ( Mine's so bad, my dog refused to go in it ! ).

My dogs got so much fur in it I could make seat covers. There's a few members here that I met w parts, they would agree I'm sure....

4 y/o That's too funny, there's some hope in the world, after all, pretty sharp for a 4 y/o kid... But he should have said "he would rather eat worms, than ride in a "Exploder" too.... sorry I couldn't resist, Explorers are one of my all time hated vehicles #5, Right behind #1 Citroen's, #2 Volvo's, #3 Civic's & #4 Prius's...

It's been cool lately to see more younger guys around my age (16-21, whatever) joining the forum. Not many friends of mine around my town are willing to take on project cars and actually follow through

I can think of lots more on the "hated" list. But I've had better luck w ferd trucks than MA's, Grand Ma's and one's made in rice eating countries...

I'm glad to see it myself. I know the BIG problem @ your age is usually the $$$ to get it done. Hang in there.
