This looks like fun!

If you were doing 100 in the left lane on the autobahn for real you would be run over. Get over to the right a lane or 2. BTDT.

I once did 130ish on a motorcycle. That I will never do again.. That was a moron move on my part. But then again those were the days... That ride scared the **** out of me when you get the high speed wobble.. NO SIR NO WAY NEVER AGAIN. Live and learn not to be a numb nuts.
I was on a sportbike and was laying across the tank cruising down a freeway one night, just taking up two lanes leaning left and right through the turns. When I saw traffic up ahead, I raised up to catch the needle at about 120. Way too fast... I kept it below 80 and that was the last time I ever did that. I remember getting home and saying to myself, "what was I thinking??" 130? man.... no thanks. lol

Must be a broken spedometer. Face reality, if that car was going over 100, the steering wheel would be blurry from all the shaking in the front end.
We spend hundreds of dollars on parts to fix that. The only risk I see at 106 is getting caught.

I once thought I was hauling *** and got passed by a Kz900 flew past me like i was sitting there. Bigger balls than me..

Going UP through the wobble is not as bad as coming DOWN through the wobble.Mind you this was a lifetime ago:lol:,,,,,,early 90's at Marcus Dairy up in Connecticut.

Something's just not right with that picture.....I agree with other posts, I've hit over 100 a few times in old Mopars but just for a short blast, on the other hand I had an SRT Challenger that could cruise over 100 and it felt tame. Apples and Oranges

I agree that something doesn't look right on the dash. It just looks fake, but I've been there before when I had my Charger back in the day. I've only hit about 90 a couple times banging through the gears in my Barracuda and it wasn't bad.

Been there. Back in the 80's I rode a friends '83 GPZ . He bought it off a friend who raced bikes at BIR up in northern Minnesota and we were tinkering with it. Took it out one night to open her up and see what she would do. I was laying down over the tank, as you described, .... looked at the speedo and it was reading 138. I let off and sat up. Big mistake,... the wind coming up over the little fairing nearly peeled me off the bike.

Oh, the things we didn't think of when we were young, stupid, and bulletproof!!

I agree with the others about the photo looking too odd and distorted. Maybe it was taken with a go pro mounted to a chestband (they have them). I have a friend who does this with a headband mount when he test drives cars (for a living).

GoPros will give that sort of fisheye look where anything up close can look distorted; that's the only way that I can think that this would be legitimate. Holding a camera in your hand while doing this wouldn't come out looking like that - with everything in focus. A GoPro mounted to his chest could take that pic since this is a driver's perspective.

Not sure why everyone is calling this fake ! He wasn't going 200 mph !!! Everything seems legit to me ! So the picture isn't perfect he's going over 100 mph he's not going to take time to focus the freaking picture !

The point was that everything was in focus... nobody is saying he didn't take time to focus, they're saying that when you're driving at that speed the car is not riding smooth as silk, so there would be some jittering with the camera.

I've taken a picture at over 95 in my car with a quality camera, and because it's difficult to do so, this is how my picture turned out, because I couldn't focus:

I take you've never been on the bahn? There ARE speed limits on certain parts of it! Just sayin!

It’s not a focus problem the entire cluster looks like it’s printed on paper and stuck to the dash.

Easy big fella,.... not saying it couldn't be done (It's only 108mph.... Of course it could be done) Just saying the picture looks weird,... especially the dash.

Everything looks fine to me. As far as the speed goes, I guess growing up in Germany and learning to drive there, he is going too slow to me. I had a harder time learning to drive slower when I came back to the US.

If it is fake at least someone went to the trouble of calculating the correct engine RPM to speedometer reading with a 3.23 gear and 27 inch tire which would be common sizes for a 68 Fury. I think it is believable, I have had plenty of well built muscle car era cars at that speed.

I had no earthly idea that this post would've turned into a pissing match about weather it being real or fake. Wow, just wow!

for those who care:
It is a 68 Sport Fury vert with a buillt 383.
And driving 106mph on the autobahn is nothing special for it.
Owner did it more often in the past, too.
