The puzzlement will be even greater for those who have already visited the beautiful iconic blue as can Crater Lake NP.
They announced today it will be closed for 4 years until 2029. Only viewing allowed if I understand correctly will be by flyover (above)?
No park access.
Correct me please if I am wrong.
If I remember correctly the perimeter lake road, good for viewing, is approx 20+ miles long
That makes no sense.
The nearby tourist business's will not be able survive is my guess. Recently retiring, that is on my bucket list for a revisit, but then maybe not.

Wow! That's harsh to have it totally closed for that long. If I call myself a scientist? Can I go?
