Here's a little video of our Pal Graham's new cross ram 413 fire-up. This motor sounds wicked and should turn his humble grocery getter into a mean street car once he builds a real rear end for it. I have a feeling the tire budget is about to take a hit.

In contrast, here's the very first fire-up (literally) for the motor in our altered. It sounds a bit crappy in the clip as it immediately barfed out the header gaskets but with some minor tweaking it actually seems like it'll work for us for test & tune. Check out the fire ball in our crew chief Chris' face. He wasn't using those eye brows anyways.

We were just eye balling it at that point we just wanted to hear it run. We won't actually be running that MSD distributor, we just stole it from our other race car. My friend scored us a super cool dual point Mallory with the bake-lite looking cap. It's installed now and the car starts and runs like a champ. No more face full of flame for old Chris.

That's the best way to put out a carb fire, suck it into the depths. Yah, Chris got BBQed right and proper.
