I’ve got the Imperial hooking so good that I got three straight red lights today LOL

I love that car. What front shock are you using ? I was running 90/10's and the red bulb was lit often.
Switched to cheap standard shocks and no more red lights. Worked for me !

Hopefully, the red lights were not too far off and a little adjustment can fix it.

I change my car around a lot to run index. Run the timing 8 degrees retarded, add up to 300 lbs ballast, close the carbs down to 75%. Untouched the car will wheelie past the 60ft clocks. Or when slowed up, very little wheelie. We've even set it up to leave flat. My results in R/T when changing all this? Nothing, It stays the same. In my own experience the reason for red lights? It's me, the driver. If you stage deeper it 'll affect it for sure. But if you stage in the same spot. Leave at the same rpm. The difference in R/T is the driver.

Just cheap std shocks. I’m usually late on the tree. Fine tuning it trying t find the sweet spot. Two outings in a row & great consistent 60 foots at 1.64 then 1.67 next day different track. Now to get the tree down

Yep, pretty sure it was me. Car is leaving hard 1.67 60’s yesterday at 2000 rpm launch

You need to work on the lights Bob, hope I bump into you again at a show. Love your car.

Thank you. Yes I plan to be there again this year. Not sure if I’ll be driving. Might get David to drive it again

Stage shallower,
that will help some, just pull in to lights, just tickle the bottom bulb
will help redlights, probably (?) going in/staging too deep

get a good routine & stick with it, every time

leaving at 2,000 rpm ?
seem really low

I see guys walking around their car 3 times checking the airpressure and changing by a 1/4 lb lol
Like Doug said it's a driver issue. Try some sunglasses

R/T claims are comical at times. If someone thinks front tires air pressure is a big influence. They should do the math. Same with pulling the wheels up. Sure front tires with less rollout make a difference. But not as much as you would think. Same with guys that claim they are .000-.010 everytime. If they were that good they would be mopping the floor at the big dollar bracket races. Now there is a difference in accuracy using a light car leaving off a transbrake and top bulb. Versus what most of us mortals use. It all relative to what class you run. I won races this year with subpar lights. I also lost more than I care to think about by .005 or less.

Yea I check my tires once in the staging lanes. Never had a car that mattered that much on. No problem with sun. Just got to get use to a 3800 pound car launching to a 1.66 or better 60ft
This pig jumps off the line

I swap front tire heights , depending on whether im running red, or late. Inflation pressure is meaningless. Three inches in height isn't. I've run everything from 22s on my Tina, to 29s on my savoy.
