I was wondering if anyone knows or has correctly mounted their throttle cable with a Performer 2 Intake with a 1" spacer under the Edelbrock carb? I am having a problem in that the cable is barely reaching the throttle cable bracket and thinking that due to the 1" spacer is causing me grief. I have seen on eBay a throttle cable bracket that basically extends the cable up a little higher from original position. Also, am wondering is a 1" spacer really necessary on a Performer 2 intake with an Edelbrock carb. Only thing is do the butter fly valves hit the manfifold and that is why the spacer is there?

I took off the 1" spacer between the carburetor and the manifold and all lines up nicely now.

After the fact here, but you can also run a throttle cable from a slant six B-Body car (longer). Had to do the same with running an Indy intake on my bird. Works well. Bought mine from FBBO member Moparparts. Fairly cheap part and a decent guy to deal with.

If you need or want to put that 1" spacer back get a hold of Mancini racing .com and ask for the AR engineering throttle bracket works great. here is a pic.
