Tie rod hitting torsion bar

Good deal! Glad it is all better and so easy. Crazy that the 1st rod end part had the taper wrong and/or the cotter pin hole at the wrong height.... I don't think I have ever seen that before. Buuut, I got some Chinese made front U-joints for my 4WD and they simply would not fit into the yokes; bought the slightly pricier US made ones and they were fine. So yeah, crappy parts....

BTW, the tie rod boot looks a bit pinched; I would rotate the rod end back and forth some to see if it works out, and if that does not work, then loosen the rod end and let the boot relax and tighten it down again; the boot should move up on the side of the rod end a bit and not pinch like that. It'll crack in a few years with that pinch.

Thanks nm9, will do. Sometimes you can see bugger all difference between good and unknown, and then other times you just can't believe the difference in fit and quality. Thanks for all your help. :VB toast:
