Time to sell?

So I’ll go through my story and address some of y’alls questions.here is a pic of the day my dad drove my uncles car home. I was 10 I believe. I’ve been infatuated with this car ever since. I’m 51 now and have two AWESOME grandsons that I can’t get enough of! So, I tore this car down the year I got home from overseas, 2011 and got to work on it as time and money permitted. I finally got enough ducks in a row to buy a lot of the parts, mostly bigger stuff. I’m self employed so the hurdle now is time, there just ain’t enough of it! Right now I’m just trying to scratch the itch with my 06 R/T. That’s a piece of my story. I hope I didn’t bore you all. Thank you for being a part of the Hot Rod community

I own my own business, i work 70 hours a week.. i just spent 2.5 years working on my car 1-2 hours here and there.. i have now driven it 30 miles and smiled more than i have in years just from that :) I had times when i felt like taking a ball peen to the whole thing and having it hauled away. Walked away and came back in a better mood.

One thing that guys here and on the FABO made me think about was some of them have been building a car for 10 years and aren't done.. it takes what it takes.. unless you are dying soon or need the money.. let it sit til you have a hour to fit a piece, if it takes 10 more years.. who cares. Plus your grandsons will freak out the first time you dump that clutch with them in it :)

My car got put on the way back burner after we got married and bought a house. It sat for about 8 years as we renovated our house. All I did in that time was go to a few swap meets and pick up a few parts here and there. Would wonder if I would ever get back to it. Now back at it for a few hours a few days a week. Slowly moving forward. So just because your life is crazy busy doesn't mean you will never get back to it. Do what is best for you. If you sell it getting it back will b far more $$$. Take care!

100% spot on! This is what I needed!

1 last thing (and yeah, i talk too much.. but i regret soo many lost cars) Is anyone telling you it has to be done tomorrow? No.. if it takes a month to get that quarter perfect.. that's what it takes. Honestly, i did my car quick and dirty cause i knew if i didn't get it driving sooner than later i would be feeling like you are :) You have a much nicer car though.

The one thing i did on my car that helped me was i didn't push myself to do 1 single bolt.. i worked one it when i was in the mood.. got that patch into today? good enough.. I always find if i push myself to work on a car when i am not in the mood i will half *** it or resent it. So.. in your time.. plus it's cold and shitty out :)

Ok.. done babbling....

I’ve had some of my cars for over 45 years some times I don’t work on them for years take some time off and decide later. I have way too cars and projects. I’ve told my wife I have enough projects to last me 20 years after I die. To me my cars are a big part of who I am and the friends I enjoy. Dealing on 2 more to add to the collection currently.

Just went and looked at the build thread of your car... you have literally done all the hard **** that would have made me pucker :) And the suspension stuff looks killer... Yeah.. hang onto that til you are motivated.. take some small bites and some victories til you are into it again, that will be a killer car :) And i don't even like roadrunners!
DON’T LIKE ROAD RUNNERS?! We can’t be friends! jk thanks for the kind words and motivational talk

haha i'm glad i don't have more room... cause man i see sooo many more i wanna buy :)

BTW.. when you do get some progress... post pics in your build thread... i post all the time and the tiny bit of input i get from a few guys helps keep the gas tank full :)

If you love it for some reason, hold onto it a little longer. If it's not love, let it go, save your pennies and buy a restored car in the future if you are still itching for one.

Restored?! No... buy the beater... put great suspension under it and thrash it :) Chip in the paint? Oh well...! (chipped mine again last night.. i can't seem to not do it)

Dennis Hopper had the right idea :)

IMO by asking you are seeking assurance on the choice you already know you want to make. Its ok to let it go. Get rid of it and get healthy, there will always be another project

What are you sending them from? PC, phone, etc
Could be wrong format. I had to change that in my samsung
Well I tried on my iPhone first then plugged my phone into the computer and it isn’t recognizing the phone.
