Sounds like a dry roller bearing to me..... try dropping it in a bowl of engine oil for a minute or two then spin it..........
X2. Oil it and then turn it. It will be fine.

That's pretty normal. It's a torrington bearing. They sound that way when dry. You need to lube it before putting it on.....
