Timing Issues

I have an issue where I cant see my timing marks on the timing cover on my 318 because my power steering pump is in the way. My question is I should be able to remove my power steering pump and time the car and then put it back in without affecting the timing. Correct or will adding the accessory change it up.

you can remove the ps pump and time it with no change to time after reinstall.you may want to try a mirror before all that work,works good on an eng with alot of stuff in the way.you can even bounce the light off the mirror if you need to.
