Tire and Wheel sizes?

I want to update my wheels and tires on my 72 Roadrunner GTX, however what to buy for tire and wheel size is driving me crazy. I want to buy the 15" magnum 500 wheel with BF goodrich tires with white letters. I think it would really dress the car up. Of course i would like to go as wide as possible. 295 in the rear?
Any suggestions?

i have 275 60's on the rear w/ 15x8's.

i went from 215 70's to 245 60's. i had drag radials on there from previous owner.

i also picked up a set of 15x7 cop wheels and center caps. They're pretty rough, have to sandblast them and spraybomb them. not sure if i am gonna color code or just go black yet. I just really love the poverty wheel look!

you are running 245 60's up front... is that on a 15 x 7 wheel? Trying to decide whether to buy 2 - 15 X 7 & 2 - 15 X 8 Magnums or 4 - 15 x 8 wheels. Thanks
