Tire guys ... 8" of tire width on a 5 1/2" wheel ?

For a while I had 235 60's on my 14 x 5.5 rallye wheels.

That was too wide and they had a noticeable flattened bulge at the bottom.

Just a slight bit of abnormal wear, though.

Will be fine if it's a new tire and it hasn't been on a wider wheel. The tire will speed out on a wider wheel
I run 225/70R14 on 5.5" wheels and they are good to go.

With the visual comparison it makes a big difference. and you can sort out the tires by wheel diameter, tire height, etc... Then it will have some recommendations on brands and prices across the top. It can be a deeeep rabbit hole!

Yes enter in a tire you know fits the car then experiment with other sizes and rim diameters to get what you need.
