I have purchased a set 4 factory Mopar 15x7 steel wheels and looking to put the right tires on these rims and my 69 Roadrunner...
Currently I am running on a set of American Racing rims 225-70-15 front and 255-60-15 rear on BFG's without any issues butwanted to go back to something more period original.
I would like a very dark "black" or redline tire type look as the rims will be flat black.
My question is..... what tire should I go with and more importantly what is the size I should be looking at based on the 15x7 steel wheels and my current set up.
Would a 235x70x15 BFG redline work all around without rubbing issues?
Any other suggestions and words of experience and wisdom?
Thanks !

I have Coker red lines on my 69 RR the front are 215 70 15 on 15 by 7s. I like the look. The rears are 235 70 15 on 15 by 8 wheels. I wouldn't go that big on the front, they would look too big.

235 would work fine, I run a 265 on a 15x8, but I have 295 on a 15x10 in the rear. I second the staggered look, I would run maybe a 225 up front and a 235 or 245 on the rear, you want those rears to fill up that wheel well.
