I am looking at replacing the rear tires on my 66 Bel. I restored my car back to the way it was when it was street racing back in the late 60's. I am looking for a 29 to 30 dia tire with a overall width of 11" ( am guessing that the biggest tire I can fit back there without moving the springs). I want that mid to late 60's look and I just cant seem the tires I want. So if anyone can help that would be great. I currently have BG Drag Radials, but they look so small on my car

I saw pics of Landy's 67 Blue R/T, does anyone know what tires sizes they are and where to get them?

I've been trying to find a thread from earlier this year that had a lot of information about how much tire you can squeeze into a 66-67 B body but can't seem to find the right search terms to bring it up. I found this one and thought I'd bring it back to the top. If I can find the other one I'll do the same.

If you run 15x8 rim with 4 1/2" inch backspacing you go with 255/60/15 if you run a 8" rim with a 5 inch backspace you could most likely run it to 275/60/15 but the diameter of the 275/60/15 is 28 inches anything taller you probably have to run like a 70 series tire. I went through the trouble of shortening my axle a half inch on each side just so I could run at 275/60/15 tire on a 8" rim with 4 1/2 inch backspace it was worth the 180.00 for the chop axles

Your car looks awesome badmopar67, love the stance, color, everything about it...

Thank you fellow Mopar heads on the front I'm running 225/60/15's on a 7 inch rim with a 3 3/4" backspace. I like the sidewall height on The front tire not to be a taller than the rear.

Great info as i also have a 67 and will be looking for the right tire wheel combo in the spring , like in june, when the snow melts.

a 275-60x15 on an 8" wheel with 4.5" backspace is about the safe limit with a stock ride height. i have a 65 coronet and it has the narrow wheel wells like the 66-67 and the 275-60 with the 8" wheel was about the limit.
