It wasn't long ago that I was in the process of purchasing a 71 Bee from Detmatt. A one of 203 383 3 Speed cars with a matching motor. I backed out of the deal and regretted it for years. And 71 Bee projects are a rare find these days. So a few weeks ago I found another good candidate to fix up. It's on the registry for sale, and even though I haven't seen it I put a $3k deposit on it and I pick it up on the 28th. This car has sat for years waiting to be revived, and I'll be it's 3rd attempt. Here is some of the listing on the Super Bee Registry, it's the Go Green car. I don't usually buy a car unseen like this, but I know however it is I'm going to be happy.
71 Charger Super Bee, 383 4 Speed Car, FJ6 with Black Interior and Black Vinyl Top. Car was brought to Central NY in the early 2000's from Louisiana. I purchased from a gentleman who had started the project but shortly ran out of interest. Car was in Dry storage for almost 12 years. Frame Rails are solid, needs pans and rear quarters to be done right. No Motor or Trans, however I've purchased a lot of hard to find parts over the last year. N96 hood with ram unit (very good condition), 71-72 Dana 3:54 Track Pack, complete fiberglass front fenders and valiance. The hideaway front bumper is in great condition.
The car is in Fulton NY
