Tobias Speed Equipment

I was looking at my 71 Charger project car and noticed that the glove box door has Tobias Speed Equipment painted on it. On doing some searches it looks like Tobias is more related to dirt track racing. Does anyone have a idea how he would be related to Dodge? Not sure if I should save this or just strip it and paint it fresh. Thanks!
