Being a donut aficionado myself, today is certainly a special day. After many, many years of extensive research, I have come to the conclusion that I really like donuts. I tend to like the little independent shops as opposed to the big chains like Krispy Kreme or Dunkin. So if you have a good independent donut shop in your area, get out there and support them by eating as many as you can hold.

I do like a nice cup of coffee & a couple chocolate dipped old fashions, not really any others... My oldest sister Lori was the Manager/cook of a Winchell's Donuts in the early 70's in Antioch Ca.... Never really been a big donut guy, too sweet, I do love Fruit Pies & German Chocolate Cakes thou, go figure...

They have some great Donut shops.... The Doughnut Plant is one of the best in Manhattan... Cost Almost $5 Bucks for certain donuts...
