I have a 69 Plymouth Roadrunner and need to replace the Brake Master Cylinder. Is there any tricks, easy ways to get the bolts off the Master Cylinder, since they are in the car under the dash and I am not quite as young as I used to be. Any Help Would Be Appreciated !!!!:icon_question:

you don't have to convert to the 2 bolt style MC with the adapter, try Mancini acing or SSBC or Summit Racing for a replacement 4 bolt OEM style MC

depending on the condition of your car, pulling the dash makes this way easyer for us older folks.otherwise hire a skinny 15 year old kid to help with those bolts.

Really isnt that hard - access is actually pretty good. heck, you can see em all and actually reach em all while in a somewhat half comfortable position lol. With an assortment of sockets and u joints you'll get em all in no time. The only issue I had was one of the studs was loose in the socket so I needed a vice grip on the blank end to keep it from turning while i loosened the nut. Some wd40 the night before wouldn't hurt either.

I got my cylinder at this link:

and they have the correct adjustable brake rod for you to use.
Shipping was good and packaged nicely too. save on shipping and get both at the
same time.

GrabinNov911 has a good post and I had the same issues changing my master out.
He explains it well
I am 62 and was able to bend around in there to get at the nuts. Just take your time.
3/8 drive was the best to get in there. Some verbal persuasion did not help when I was doing this.

I thought of buying some deep sockets and cut them down to halve length but found that
you can't do that cause the 6 or 8 points do not go all the way down to the end of the
socket.

worse case scenario is to take out the bucket seat to lay down but you won't get the angle
to see what your doing on your back. ( how did I know that ?)

Have fun.

Matt

Removal of the front seat or driver side bucket will help tremendously.
