Tool went too deep in the 727...

Greetings,

in the pics you can see that a tool has gone too deep into the inner end of the input shaft, and damaged something that I seem to remember looked like a ball (as in a ball bearing). In 727 drawings it's drawn as a round ball, but I haven't found anything explaining the eventual function of it.
This is the junction between the input shaft and the output shaft. In the mating end of the output shaft there is a hole that mates with ball shaped center in the input shaft.

That won't hurt anything, the ball seals off the fluid passage, as long as it is in place you are OK

Greg, many thanks for your reply. I had a closer look this morning and I think you are right. Another experienced friend also suspected that it wouldn't hurt anything.

Good stuff, now I can go on with the assembly! :VB toast:
