Exactly. Get a good, close look at the flare. If it's flattened on an edge, cracked, crimped, it's very difficult to get a good seal. A good mechanic seats the fitting in concentrically, so the fastening force is evenly distributed around the entire flare. If's it's cocked, one side will be crushed by over-tightening while the other side does not get a good seal.You need to determine where the leak is coming from:
- the fitting that screws into the air horn
- or the fuel line.
