Traction bars or no traction bars (Which one looks better)

I don't anymore (I'm old, don't race anymore) - but it was just part of the routine.
Arrive at track, jack up rear, off come street tires and on go slicks, reach under while there
and adjust the snubber.... ain't no big thing.

Regardless, it appears to matter a great deal to you and that's fine. However you want to skin it,
do so with my full blessing and prayers for a safe and fun time.

Used to do that too, at the track, and chain me street tires and jack to a pole or fence so they wouldn't disappear, man those where the days.......

When I was young I picked up a 70 BB Chevelle SS roller (was a real nice car) but I wanted the ladder bars bc I had visions of putting them onto one of my Mopars until I looked at them. Sold the car cheap

Saw my first roadrunner in 1969 the neighbor across the street bought his son who was just starting college it was a Hemi with big tires on the back a big chrysler pentastar decal in the back window and traction bars and a loud rumble it was the most formidable car I’d ever seen, I guess it influenced me a little

Have CalTracs on my 65 Belvedere. Were installed at same time as new springs (reminiscent of early Mopar for 440/Hemi 6 leafs drvr, 7 leafs pass..or is it leaves? ). Rear mount does not extend below rim, so no clearance issues. In any case, CalTracs nice cruise night appeal with no road issues regardless of length of journey.
Back in the late 60's, early 70's we never really like slapper bars. Instead we used the , then available, Traction Master bars. I believe Traction Master is still in business in Burbank , Ca. (Or on 69 GTX back in early 70s, used adjustable pinion snubber with a steel plate attached to floorboard contact area. )

I wouldn't put traction bars on a Mopar, I'd use a pinion snubber, but only if wheel hop was an issue. I've never had a problem with wheel hop on any of my Mopars.
