Incase some dont know what I drew, it's another modified type of the Caltrac setup. This one has a couple points to mount the adjustable bar for tunning options.
Everything is 1/4" plate steel BTW.
Also, you can keep your lower spring / shock mount plate and install this rear plate right below it if your U-bolts are long enough like mine are.
I also build mine with a 3rd front hole.I tried it on the rear, with no luck.I also use 13/8 .095 for the bars with welded inserts for weight savings. Some use 11/4 solid bar drilled and tapped. These are great projects for DIY guys with good fab skills. The end results will be worth the weekend effort.A big thanks to 67b-body for the drawings. Its also a good way to save a good chunk of coin.
BTW,
Your exactly right about saving a big chunk of change! The plate steel is nothing more than drop offs, "free bees" and the rod ends can be found at around 60.00 bucks tottal.
$60 traction device is pretty cheap!
One more thing Goose,,,
I have SS springs on mine, so the front spring pearch has been replaced with the Mopar Performance part too. This moves the spring front location a bit from the stock mounting location. In other words, yours might be a little diff in length over all than mine depending on your setup. They are adjustable as you can clearly see, so they would probably fit yours to, but might not be optimum for thread engagement on the rod ends.
