Hello all, I have two Mopar 4 speed tranny's and I am trying to figure out what they came out of. Can ya'll tell me where to look on the trans. to find this out? There are numbers all over them( on the shaft and side). Thanks and take care, B.C..

as far as numbers go, it will be tough to find exactly what they are out of. To help ID these better you can look at the tailshaft length. E body will be short (+/- 12") with a rearward mounted shifter. B-body will be longer (+/- 17") and wil have provision for a forward mounted shifter. The longer one may have two shifter positions. Also spline count on the input and output shafts will help determine application.

Pretty sure E and B bodys are the same length,2 shifter mounts same trans, and the A body is the short one.
