Tranny Rebuild

I have a 65 Plymouth belvedere ,The tranny is out of the car and it does leak,what is the going rate to have it rebiult in the U.S.It shifts fine but i have it out so i may has well have it rebuilt.It is the poly 318 ,727 tranny

I've read your posts, and you seem pretty sharp. Ever think of doing it yourself? There are lots of on-line resources out there. I wouldn't be afraid to try it myself.
 
i paid $200 to have mine rebuilt ... thats labor, spent $1000 on parts ! ...
 
Wow thanks for the help and compliments on my post .I have done alot of work on cars,but i never tackled a tranny,my 727 has cable shifts,and im not sure if that makes it more difficult to rebuild ,the kickdown shaft is leaking ,and it seems to have a much smaller seal than the newer 727,so im not sure if it will be harder to purchase.I guess i would like it to be redone so i done have to remove it down the road,for a while any ways.I have a friend who drag races mopar ,so he is willing to see what it needs.if anything.
