Can anyone tell me more about this A 833. I'm thinking it's the original transmission from my '68 Sport Satellite.

Well it looks like the only "pad" that could tell you has been blasted to hell.
Judging by that front bearing retainer, it looks like the entire trans was under water...

It was stored in less than ideal conditions for several years. The gear oil is clean and uncontaminated so I think it's ok.
Just poking fun, but there is quite a bit of external water damage. Wasn't insinuating the inside was junk. The only real way to ID it (VIN pad) is completely damaged.
