Trim questions "please help"

I'm starting to put trim back on my 69 Charger and am trying to understand how it all goes together (basket case). The area of concern is the quarter window trim, the rear corner piece has a rivet in it "what is that for"? Also is there a sealant or something that goes on it or is it installed dry :thinker:. To me it would seam that it would leak if not sealed somehow and my book shows nothing on it. Any info, pics or links would appreciated

The only rivet I can think of attaches the "U" trim from the belt moulding to the roof drip rail in the back corner of the rear window. I know I have extras, what side do you need? Will check tomorrow for the rear window trim I have in storage. If I can get help will upload pictures if this helps. PM me if you are interested.
