Def. use clamps in corners. Wood close line in straight runs. Also, cut some 1" by 1" cardboard squares to put under clamps, preventing impressions from clamps.Good idea with the clamps, this is on my to-do list.
3m black I think 8008. Works good but sets up quick! Have an assistant to feed the seal as you lay it down and pin it.What glue did you use?
I have the trunk seal from soff seal. Installed as described. Trunk lid was aligned before and latch/locker adjusted to pull down the lid.
But I can see from the sides when I look over the rear that the seal pushes the trunk lid in the mid section along the quarter a few mm up.
Is that normal and will the seal sit after a while?
El. Padrino, on my 66 Satellite we had the same issue, flush at the hinge, latch and above flush in the center of the sides. It did improve some as the seal sat with the trunk closed but still was high in the center. We ended-up adjusting the trunk so it was under flush at the hinge and the latch and the center was flush. After sitting with the deck lid closed for a couple of weeks we readjusted the lid and it sets very close everywhere. Brian.
