Trunk weatherstrip install Question

I can't determine from other posts the proper install of the trunk weatherstrip. Does the grove face the trunk or away from the trunk not sure which way to lay it in.
If I layed it just like the picture would that be going into the pasanger side channel or is that upside down (flip it over) and lay in the driverside channel?

The "V" notch faces away from trunk opening the flat side gets glued down,see picture of Metro Supersoft I just purchased for my 63 Sport fury.

Yep what he said and start about 4" off center on the rear edge.Black 3M weatherstrip adhesive and i used clothes pins every inch to hold it till the glue set.

Great news. I too had wondered how it would install, since it seemed possible to do it both ways. Thanks for the help.

I just did this a few weeks ago and the clothes pins make it a cake job. I didn't use black adhesive though I used the yellow but I'm guessing it really doesn't matter. My trunk weatherstrip is going nowhere.

I just use the black because you cant see it if you get some on the part that shows.
