Trying to figure out what this part is in my 69 Satellite 318

Feel like I’ve asked a few these questions lately so I apologize in advance for clogging up forums with these posts. I can’t figure out what this part is for…also looks like there should be some type of vacuum hosed hooked up to it.

It’s got 4 drum bre so I didn’t think it went to them…maybe something to do with the trans?

Looks like cruise control to me.
 
Cruise Control. Chrysler calls it Speed Control.Either works. Should have 2 speedometer cables .
One to the speedometer and the other down to the transmission. The thinner cable with the black cone shape connection goes to the carb.
Yes there is a vacuum line hose usually attached to the brake booster or manifold. The control is on the turn signal lever.
Maybe it doesn't even belong to the car..
 
Speed control came with mandatory power brakes, and the hose comes from the brake booster.

So that was added or power brakes removed.
 
Cruise control on a older car is awesome if you can get it working... :)
