Hey guys. I came across a project car that I couldn't pass up. 1967 Coronet 440 supposedly from Mr Norms Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago. Car came with a letter from a gentleman named John Lein. He said he first saw the car in the summer of 1969. 2 brothers came up from Chicago each summer to the Hills of Disco. (From I found there is a Disco illinois. I don't know if people drag raced there or not. Just a guess.). John bought the car from one of the brothers who raced it. He believes his name was also John. John Sperlinguss. He said the brothers drag and street raced the car. After john bought the car he brought it back to Wisconsin with him and promptly rolled it in 1970. Put it away and sat until now. Still wrecked and clean title. I came across it and just couldn't pass up. Plates still have 1970 expiration. Don't know if any is true but taking a chance. Since there was a fire in 1968 at Grand Spaulding in Chicago there is no surviving paper work at the dealer before that date. I'm waiting to hear back from Chrysler with the information they possibly might have on file. So I'm reaching out to fellow car buddies to see if anyone might know anything about this car or the gentleman mentioned. Anything. Something. Pictures. You never know until you ask. Figured I can't lose.
Thanks for reading. Brian

Brian, Don't know if Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles offers this service, but in my state you can pay a small fee and get a print out of all the prior registered owners of a VIN number or license plate number. Worth a try. Good luck, and of course we need pictures...

I will post some pictures
