TTI headers, burning my plug wires, any suggestions

Maybe swap out your engine for a HEMI :icon_mrgreen:

I run TTI headers with no problem...although mine are 1-7/8"

I took mine off and made a jig out off a square tube and a piece of angle iron. Then I drilled 2 holes threw each, and put 2 3/8 threaded rods threw them. Put the pointed side of the angle at the point of where I wanted the dent. Then put the square tube on the other side of #5, and thghtened till I had the dent I could get a socket and wire on.

kb73rr,dont know if you have ever been to the mopars at the red barns, last saturday in july, the best all mopar show in michigan,go to gilmore classic car museum for info.

Thanks 72 Blue 400! I've heard of it but never been. If it's that good then it's time for a road trip. I put in on my calendar and weather permitting I'll be there.

I just looked again. My TTIs have no dent and about 1/16" clearance to the Taylor spark plug cap. My older Accel wires and caps fit too. I have never had a problem getting a socket on the plug either. So, is the consensus that the 1 7/8" TTIs have clearance as is but the 2" need a dent? Or maybe there is some variation in the TTIs and you might get lucky - or not?

Wow, that's a pretty smart way to do it. Sounds like you had good control.
