TTI tailpipes

Starting to install my 2.5 inch TTI tailpipes on my Belvedere. Just wondering, shouldn't the mufflers slip into the front end of the tailpipes? Any info on how others have done it? I just think it would be a leak proof way to do it.

I think the pipes from the fron and the rear go into the mufflers if I remember correctly.
