TTIs exhaust with Dynomax turbos, opinions please.

TTI's and Dynomax here. No drone. QTP cut-outs in between.

Yep closer to 600 hp. I will check into the Ultra Flows. I also suffer from slight hearing loss and don't want to lose anymore.

Are the ultra flows an option with TTI? Or do I need to buy the kit less mufflers and buy the super flows separate? I know some web sites aren't always up to date.

Looks like the Super Flow turbos are the quietest that Dynomax carries. So I think I'll go with those. The ultra flows are about in the middle.

Yes if you call TTI they can do the UltraFlos, I actually got a way better price getting the mufflers from them then others. They also gave me a military discount.

Keep in mind as well that being rear exit it's not nearly as bad in the drivers seat.

True Goon! I have extra sound deadener as well. Trying to be a bit stealthy, if that's possible. Probably not with my right foot!

I have TTi exhaust with Ulta Flows on both my Charger and Road Runner and think the sound is perfect. I ran the Super Turbos for 1 summer on my Charger before switching - to quiet for me.

I run the full TTI 3" system with Dyno-Max Ultra-Flow mufflers out to the rear bumper and like it alot. Here is a clip of how it sounds as its only real loud when I floor the car like when racing but still not bad. Ron

Off topic sorry OP, but Ron, 2 things come out your clip.

1. Your car sounds a-w-e-s-o-m-e !!

2. That 62 Polara rag top next to your car in 2 tone black/white with Cragars is gorgeous!!

slightly off topic, had the magna-flows on my daily driver truck escalade ext with 6.0 and the drone was really bad, had to swap them out.

If you mean Dynomax® Super Turbo, they are excellent flowing mufflers that are relatively quiet (compared to straight through design mufflers) and will not give you drone.

Dynomax website is excellent and you can listen to their muffler range - http://www.dynomax.com/sounds-of-dynomax/?muffler=super-turbo-muffler

I have a pair of 2.5" super turbos on mine and they have a nice rumble at idle, a very subdued cruise note with no drone and a restrained but glorious note when on the loud pedal. I chose these mufflers as I didn't want it too loud either.

From your description, I'd say you would be pleased with them.

Thanks, this helps a lot with deciding on which system to use on my convertible.

let me know when you get the black widows installed, thinking about this as well...even though my motor's stock and have exhaust manifolds.

X2 on that

I've not heard too many good things of magna-flows. They are basically a nice looking (but more expensive) glasspack. A friend put them on his 289 Mustang, hated the drone and added resonators. Still sounds awful I reckon.

The description of what you wanted sound wise was exactly my mantra too, and I could not be more pleased with the super turbos in delivering it. Lots of guys here (well, most) like louder mufflers, which is what I had before - 24" glasspacks - and though the sound was glorious when caning it, 99% of the time the drone was just plain annoying whilst cruising along in a convertible. Having no roof makes you hear way more of your exhaust note than in a tin top!

Running PYPES RACE PRO Mufflers on my 440 they are their quietest mufflers and No drone driving down highway and around town love the sound.
But when you put the peddle down they are loud but that's what I like.

exactly my concern. I like a loud car though, but not constantly while cruising, especially in the convertible and my wife would hate it to the point she'd probably not get in it.

Ron the car sounds great, thanks for sharing!

Ordered them yesterday!

I know I'll get heat about this but I like Flowmasters. Cars should be aggressive sounding.
They aren't packed with fiberglass or some other stuff that will burn out. Eventually the "turbo" style mufflers will burn up the packing and get louder.
I had a Flowmaster on a daily driver pickup. The pipes around the muffler rusted off but the muffler looked like the day it was installed. I saved the muffler and it's still living under another vehicle, its about 19 years old.
