Failed to take that pic on disassembly.

The pointy part of it goes towards the column. This one seems to be on the left of the wheel. Which seems to be the common place for that to poke down into the column.

Glad you are double checking about how it goes. I got a repop steering wheel from Classic and it was in the wrong place. Broke two turn signal switches until I figured out the problem.
