Hi everyone my 68 RR has been sitting idle in my garage for a few years. It is up and running but I have a few issues. Mind you everything worked before its vacation. ( 4 years) I have turn signals but are very very slow on both sides. ( every 3-4 seconds they blink, I remember them being alot faster) ) Also my hazards dont work at all. ( brake is NOT on) I did swap the hazard with the turn signal to no avl. Both exhibit the clicking sound but only when plugged into the directional port/ I also notice no signal indicators on the dash. I will start with cleaning/reseating all plugs starting at the firewall harness and make my way to the harness under the dash. I also dont have any dash lights but noticed the dimmer switch is real sticky so cleaning everything will be a good start. Any ideas other than what I have planned? Thanks

You might try solid state flashers instead of the old bi-metallic stockers. If they are both slow my first thought is low voltage to the system. Put a meter on it. HTH

Bad electrical contact in the turn signal cam, or try jiggling the hazard switch a bit. Are the signal bulb sockets nice and clean inside?

Sounds like my car!

still working it also both the turn signal and hazard signal sit in a metal caseing. Does the metal casing ground it to the dashboard or is it grounded thru the wire connection? Thanks

Grounding for the bulb is at the bulb socket, and the metal casings do not need to be grounded.

I have found alot of corrosion issues on the hazard switch and dimmer switch and some other corrosion issues. Once I wiggled the hazard swithch they came on. I am taking the entire cluster and switch panel out for a complete clean/inspection. The one thing I did notice is I had 12 volts across all of the fuses except the instument fuse which makes sense because i had no instrument lights. I do have 12 v at both hazard and turn signal relays so again its going to be conn issues. Again I think this is a bad connection. Thanks for the help

The 12V at the fuse is fed from the light switch (black), via the dimmer switch (tan) to one side of the fuse. The other side of the fuse is an orange wire. The orange wire feeds the dash, radio light, gear selector indicator, etc. Even with no dash you should have 12V at the fuse with the light switch on and the dimmer switch in the highest on position.
