Turn signal lights on fender stay on 71 Charger

1971 Charger with fender mounted turn signal indicators. At night only with the headlamps on, the indicators on both fenders stay lit all the time--the solid yellow light. If I turn the signal switch on, they blink just fine as designed. But they do not go off afterwards. The solid light at the top of the fender remains on. Same for my dash light indicators for the turn signals. They stay lit, too. Only at night with the headlamps on.

Any suggestions as to the cause? New turn signal switch? Headlamp switch issue? Flasher? A short somewhere?

Ground issue, verify the front turn signal/park lamps housing/sockets are grounded properly. Housings ground through their mounting screws normally, fresh paint can interfere. The bulb socket can develop resistance to the housings as well.
